Within the last four months, he's not only tied the knot with his high school sweetheart and moved into his first marital home, he's also inked a huge contract extension with the Pittsburgh Pirates that will see him earning a staggering $140 million over the next nine years.
The news of Griffin's contract extension was confirmed by the Pirates on Wednesday, with the team posting a statement on X announcing that the teenager ball player has committed to the Pittsburgh-based side through 2034.
Pirates chair Bob Nutting also issued a statement to ESPN in which he praised Mississippi native Griffin as being a shining example of the team's values, both on and off the field.
"Signing Konnor is a meaningful commitment to this team, this city and our fans. It reflects our belief in Konnor, in this season's club and in the future of our organization," Pirates chair Bob Nutting said of the deal.
"Konnor represents everything we value in a player—exceptional talent, strong character, a team-first mentality and a maturity that stood out to all of us from the beginning. He is the right person, from the right family.
"This is another important step in the work we have been doing to build a winning team, for this year and going forward."

(Instagram / Dendy Griffin)The deal rounds out what has been an incredibly big start to 2026 for Griffin, who kicked off the year by tying the knot with his high school sweetheart, Dendy Hogan, on Jan. 17 in a stunning ceremony that was held in Oxford, MS, not far from where they both grew up.
Their wedding was held just three months after Griffin popped the question to his longtime partner, whom he is understood to have met when he was just 14.
Dendy is regularly seen on the sidelines of her husband's games, cheering him on, even moving to Florida with him so she could be by his side during spring training, which kicked off not long after their wedding.
In fact, it was in Bradenton, FL, where the couple moved into their first home as a married couple—albeit a temporary one—with Griffin later admitting that both of them needed something of a crash course in the basics of living alone, one that they received from his teammate, and former roommate, Derek Berg.
Speaking to MLB.com, Berg, 24, admitted that he began imparting some wisdom to Griffin when the two of them were rooming together while still playing in the Minor League.
At the time, Griffin, who was drafted by the Pirates in 2024 when he was still in high school, had never lived away from his parents, and Berg quickly took the teenager under his wing, teaching him everything from cooking to shopping.
“He’s taught me a lot of things,” Griffin revealed. “[How to cook] omelets, and I didn’t really know how to grill a steak. He’s the one that kind of got me into that. And now, I probably do it every week."

He's been through a lot of different experiences that I haven't, and I wanted somebody that when we were at the house, we had things organized.
"He's just a good roommate and a good, good person to be around. So he was perfect for that."
Even after Griffin moved in with Dendy in an apartment in Bradenton, where they lived during spring training, the couple turned to Berg to show them the ropes at Target, educating them in what items to prioritize, like soap, a shower curtain, and a bath mat.
However, having committed to Pittsburgh for the next nine years—joining the likes of his fellow phenom Paul Skenes—Griffin will have another major task on his to-do list: finding a full-time home that he and Dendy can call their own.
Luckily for Griffin, he has plenty of money to play with thanks to his new contract, and there are ample upscale neighborhoods within a commutable distance of the Pirates' home stadium, PNC Park, which is located on the edge of the Allegheny River.
Should he wish to test the waters as far as finding a home, Griffin should look no further than the city's downtown area, where many of the most upscale rental buildings are located.
Offering incredibly easy access to PNC Park, the neighborhood is an ideal spot for Pittsburgh newcomers looking to experience everything that the city has to offer, from restaurants to night life.
However, if Griffin and his new wife are seeking more privacy, peace, and quiet, they could follow in the footsteps of many other Pirates players by snapping up a home in one of the city's more affluent suburbs, including Cranberry or Sewickley.
