Augusta National is a unique sporting event due to many of the golf course’s obscure rules. The most interesting is that fans must enter a yearly lottery in order to acquire tickets to the tournament.
However, some supporters are willing to risk that attendance in order to make huge money by reselling their tickets online. Secondary markets, like the one Rovell pointed out, feature 2026 Masters tickets going for tens of thousands of dollars.
Meanwhile, Rovell’s findings indicate that some tickets are listed for upwards of $55,000-plus heading into the opening day of the event.

However, it’s clear that some patrons are still willing to take that risk before the new tournament tees off this weekend.
