Promising Attacking Player at Leipzig Linked to PSG
· Yahoo Sports
Paris Saint-Germain has the reigning Ballon d’Or winner in Ousmane Dembélé, and elite attacking players in Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Désiré Doué, and Bradley Barcola. Scoring goals hasn’t been much of an issue under Luis Enrique, but that isn’t stopping PSG from looking to add to its already potent attack.
According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano (via PSG Report), PSG is interested in RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande. The 19-year-old has caught the eye of several clubs, and his future is up in the air, with Leipzig also looking to sign him to a contract extension for another season.

The 19-year-old is capable of playing on either wing and is one of the most promising teenagers in the game. This season, he has scored 10 goals and recorded 7 assists in 27 Bundesliga appearances. However, could PSG’s interest and potential arrival signal that perhaps one of PSG’s wingers could be on the way out?
There have been rumors about Arsenal FC’s interest in Kvaratskhelia and Liverpool FC’s interest in Barcola, but I don’t anticipate either player leaving anytime soon. One player who could leave is Kang-In Lee. Fabrizio Romano (via PSG Report) reported that the PSG player has attracted interest from several clubs around Europe, including Atletico Madrid.
PSG and Leipzig have completed transfers over the years, and that familiarity will help any discussions regarding Diomande. However, I expect Diomande will ultimately stay in Leipzig for another season to continue to develop. The transfer fee that Leipzig would demand is too high for a player who is probably a couple of years away from starting consistently.
