Dodgers Make Historic Uniform Change Ahead of Blue Jays Series

The Los Angeles Dodgers have announced that they will be taking their signature blue uniforms, which are reserved for specific home games, on the road for the first time in franchise history.

The Dodgers are known for one color — blue. “Dodger Blue” is widely recognized as a distinct shade due to its iconic status, and it even serves as the title of one of Kendrick Lamar’s new songs.

In an announcement, the Dodgers highlighted the historic move, making it the first time in the club’s long history that the blue uniforms will be worn by players outside Dodger Stadium.
There will be gray piping to match the gray pants that the players on the road wear, but it will indeed be a jersey color that is only worn at home.

Also, the signature Dodgers cursive will be worn on the jersey, along with the Dodgers name on the sleeve and “Los Angeles” in big, bold lettering on the front.
The Dodgers made the announcement ahead of their road trip against the Washington Nationals and the Toronto Blue Jays.
The timing of the news is quite interesting, since the Dodgers will be facing their 2025 World Series foes on the road soon, and they could debut the jerseys in time for the game.
The team did not include the news in the announcement, but considering the Dodgers beat the Blue Jays to win their second straight title, and they will be returning soon, the timing lines up for them to debut their historic new road colors.
