There’s been plenty of buzz around the Giants and the top RB prospect Jeremiyah Love as we draw closer to the NFL Draft.

Big Blue currently has plenty of talent in their running back room, but adding a player of Love’s caliber would bring a whole new element to this young up-and-coming offense.

The big question that remains to be seen is whether or not the organization would be willing to invest as big of an asset as the fifth overall pick in the position.

They had done so in the past with Saquon Barkley at second overall in the 2018 Draft, but then weren't willing to give him the big money he was seeking in free agency.

Now with John Harbaugh leading the charge, though, they may be more open to the idea.

“You recognize all of that, but the business is football,”  Harbaugh said at the NFL’s Annual Meetings. “We’re in the football business, that’s what we do -- we’re trying to make our fans happy, we want to win games, we want to be successful.

“We want [our fans] to come out and be happy and celebrating, and to do that we have to build the very best team we can. So you build the best team you can with the best players you can get, you put them out there and let them play.”

Harbaugh went on to describe Love as a "very, very good player," and said he may even put a couple more very's there.

The 20-year-old certainly showed that during his junior season at Notre Dame, finishing third in Heisman Trophy voting after putting up a total of 1,652 yards from scrimmage and 21 touchdowns on 226 touches.

Bringing him in alongside Cam Skattebo and Tyrone Tracy could be a huge boost for New York's backfield.
