The Mummy 4: John Hannah to Return as Jonathan, Brother of Rachel Weisz's Character Evelyn
· IGN

John Hannah will reprise his role as Jonathan Carnahan, the unscrupulous brother of Rachel Weisz’s character Evelyn O'Connell, in The Mummy 4.
Hannah appeared in the first three Mummy movies, although Maria Bello subbed for Weisz in the last entry, The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (but that film may no longer be canon).

Jonathan is a wise-cracking, excitable thief always working an angle or looking for a way to abscond with something valuable during his adventures with his sister Evy and her tomb-raiding husband, Rick O’Connell (Brendan Fraser).
In the years since the third Mummy movie, Hannah has appeared in the series Spartacus: Blood and Sand and Spartacus: Gods of the Arena as “Quintus Lentulus Batiatus”.
He also played “Holden Radcliffe” in Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and has also appeared in episodes of The Last of Us and Black Mirror.
The Mummy 4 will be directed by Radio Silence’s Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett (Ready or Not, Scream 6) from a script by David Coggeshall (The Family Plan).
The Hollywood Reporter claims The Mummy 4 will shoot this fall in London and Morocco.
Universal's The Mummy 4 opens in theaters on May 19, 2028.
