Naledi explained that someone has taken control of her booking number and is now pretending to be part of her management team. As a result, she warned people to be extra careful when receiving any booking messages.

“It’s unfortunate, but my booking number has been hacked. Please don’t fall victim to scams, only trust verified details. Your support and awareness mean everything,” she said.
Her team also confirmed that the situation is serious. In fact, they revealed that the scam has already affected people. “An unauthorised individual is currently impersonating Naledi Aphiwe’s management and has already misled a promoter into making arrangements for an illegitimate booking,” the statement read.
R10 000 REWARD OFFERED
Naledi Aphiwe is offering a R10 000 cash reward to anyone who can help find the person behind the scam. At the same time, her team warned people not to trust any communication coming from the hacked number.
“Any communication, booking confirmations, or payment requests made through the compromised number are fraudulent,” the team said. They are asking the public to help by sharing any information that can lead to the arrest of the person responsible.
“Please assist us in tracking down this scammer. A reward will be given for information that leads to their arrest,” the statement added.
NALEDI APHIWE TEAM WARNS PEOPLE TO BE CAREFUL
To avoid more problems, Naledi’s team said people should only make the bookings through their official email.
“All official bookings and business engagements should only be conducted through our verified email,” the team said.
They also asked people in the industry to double-check everything before making payments.
“We urge all promoters and stakeholders to verify all booking communications before making any commitments or payments,” the statement read. The team has apologised for the situation and thanked supporters for their understanding.
