Cape Town Cycle Tour 2026 result: Ryan Gibbons sprints to victory

South Africa’s Ryan Gibbons won the men’s elite Cape Town Cycle Tour in perfect conditions on Sunday.

Gibbons, 31, who rides for the UCI WorldTeam Lidl–Trek, crossed the line in a record time of 2:33.06.
It was his first Cape Town Cycle Tour win.
Jaedon Terlouw (South Africa) took second place (2:33.06) with another local rider, Ryno Schutte, rounding out the podium in (2:33.07).
The men’s elite race covered 109km.

Women’s race
Earlier, South Africa’s Lisa Bone won the women’s elite Cape Town Cycle Tour in a sprint finish ahead of Russia’s Daria Pravilova and American Kate Courtney.
Bone’s winning time was 2:06.26.
The women’s elite race covered 78km.
