FRANCOPHONIE FOOD & CULTURE FESTIVAL INFO

The event will take place next Saturday, 14 March 2026. It will be held at the Belgian Embassy Residence, which is located at 29 Boshof Avenue in Newlands.

The start time is 10:00, with the event set to end at 17:00. Entrance is free.

Parking is available at Fernwood Estate and the Stone Cottages at Kirstenbosch. Additionally, you can make use of the free shuttle service, which will take you directly to the venue.

FRANCO-FUN AND FLAIR

“The festival grounds will be alive with activity, featuring a vibrant beer garden serving world-renowned Belgian beers and refined wine tastings for guests to enjoy while immersed in the atmosphere of musique, culture et gourmandises,” per a joint statement by the French and Belgian consulates.

Visitors can expect over 60 market stalls. There, they can peruse and purchase artisanal products, as well as sample authentic French food.

Coupled with participation from other prominent Francophone countries – including Luxembourg, Madagascar and the Democratic Republic of Congo – the live entertainment promises to be high-energy fun. Think can-can dancers and a showcase of French dog breeds.
