The Cameroonian Football Federation has reacted following the incident that occurred during the Champions Trophy clash between Colombe Sportive du Sud and Panthère Sportive du Ndé. The match, played on Wednesday, February 26, 2026, at the Yaoundé Military Stadium, was halted in the 69th minute after Colombe's players walked off in protest over a controversial penalty.

The Cameroonian Football Federation has given its interpretation of the situation and backs the referee’s decisions. In an official statement, Fecafoot recalled that the central referee, after observing the regulatory time and noting that the match could not resume, called an end to the game. This decision was confirmed by the unanimous reports from the refereeing trio and the match commissioner.

In accordance with the Federation’s general regulations and disciplinary code, the entire case file—including the match sheet, official reports, and any other relevant evidence—has been sent to the competent judicial committees for review and subsequent rulings.

The Federation emphasizes that “the technical assessment of match incidents is exclusively under the referee’s authority” and that any disputes must be addressed through the official regulatory channels. The decision regarding the match’s ratification, possible trophy awarding, and any disciplinary sanctions lies solely with the judicial bodies.

While awaiting the final decision, Fecafoot calls on all football stakeholders and supporters of both teams to “remain calm and composed,” underlining the importance of respecting regulatory provisions and judicial authorities.
