Heading into Thursday’s game, Kim recorded hits in five of his 10 at-bats and had four RBIs with two stolen bases.

“He’s had a great spring. Hyeseong, I think his confidence is continuing to grow,” Roberts said. “His comfort level, being around the guys, I think he’s taken great at-bats. It was good to see him in centerfield yesterday, made a couple nice plays out in centerfield.”

“We’re going to lose him shortly. He’s going to go to his team for the WBC, which I’m excited for him. Disappointed that we can’t watch him every day, but he’s had a great spring and looking forward to him having a great WBC and getting back here.”

Kim continued his tear in Thursday’s win over the White Sox, clubbing his first homer of the spring in a 7-6 win. He will now look to carry his form into the WBC, as Thursday was his final game before departing.

The Dodgers will also hope he stays hot, as they’re looking for a suitable replacement at second base for Tommy Edman, who is still recovering from offseason surgery. Kim is putting together a strong case for himself, and will certainly get his shot with the Dodgers at some point this season if not Opening Day.
