Auburn football filled an important need during the winter transfer portal cycle by bringing in three talented quarterbacks to replace the outgoing Jackson Arnold, Ashton Daniels, and Deuce Knight.

Byrum Brown, Tristan Ti'a, and Locklan Hewitt all signed with Auburn this offseason. Two of whom, Brown and Hewitt, are familiar with Alex Golesh's offensive scheme from their days at USF, while Ti'a gained experience by playing over 100 snaps at Oregon State last season.

How impressive was Auburn's transfer portal quarterback haul? On3 recently ranked the SEC's top transfer portal quarterback commitments and included two of Auburn's finds. Byrum Brown took the No. 2 slot while Tristan Ti'a slid into the No. 8 spot.

Brown posted impressive numbers during his time as the USF Bulls quarterback by passing for 7,690 yards and 61 touchdowns while adding 2,265 yards and 31 touchdowns on the ground in four seasons. Last season, Brown tossed a career-high 28 touchdown passes and rushed for 1,008 yards and an additional 14 scores to lead USF to a 9-3 regular season record that saw wins over Boise State, Florida, and North Texas. This season, he reunites with Golesh, offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Joel Gordon, and four of the Bulls' top-five receivers from last season, as they all made the trek to Auburn.

Ti'a signed with Oregon State as a four-star quarterback in the 2025 recruiting cycle and went on to play in three games for the Beavers as a true freshman. In 103 snaps, Ti'a passed for 385 yards and three touchdowns. He passed for 240 yards and a touchdown in his lone start, a 32-8 loss to Washington State on Nov. 29.

The first chance for Auburn fans to watch Brown, Ti'a, and the other Auburn quarterback signees at A-Day, scheduled for Saturday, April 18, at Jordan-Hare Stadium.
