Las Vegas Raiders star defensive end Maxx Crosby could be on the move, and the NFL Scouting Combine could be the first opportunity for the New England Patriots to get a better understanding of his potential trade status.

The Patriots have a clear need for a pass-rusher, and Crosby has been one of the most productive players in the league in that area. They might also be a team that the two-time All-Pro defender wants to play for next season. The Athletic's Dianna Russini noted during Super Bowl week that Crosby told her he wanted to play for Patriots coach Mike Vrabel.
That talk could ramp up with all 32 NFL teams in Indianapolis for the NFL combine.
"It is a big week for the Raiders and Maxx Crosby, who have been having conversations about his future," said NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. "If there is a time to discuss a trade, it is this week here in Indianapolis. It is no secret that Crosby has been frustrated with the constant turnover and change in Las Vegas. He is also frustrated with the way last season ended, when the Raiders shut him down with two games to go."

On Tuesday, Raiders general manager John Spytek said that he was confident that Crosby would still be with the Raiders in the 2026 season.
Whatever happens, the Patriots should be one of many teams closely monitoring the situation.
