This Monday, Gianluca Prestianni was sanctioned by UEFA for making racist remarks against Vinicius Jr during the first-leg play-off between Benfica and Real Madrid last Tuesday (0-1). The Argentine plans to file a complaint against the Brazilian.
Real Madrid will host Benfica next Wednesday at the Santiago Bernabéu for the second leg of the Champions League play-off. They hold a favorable advantage after their away win in Lisbon (0-1). The clash has already ignited the media in recent days following the Vinicius Jr-Gianluca Prestianni incident. Prestianni stands accused of repeatedly calling the Brazilian a "monkey". However, the Argentine—whose shirt covered his mouth—strongly denies these allegations.
