2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations: Côte d'Ivoire announces friendlies against Kenya and Benin
The Ivorian Elephants are gearing up for an intense phase of preparations starting from February 24, ahead of their journey to Morocco to compete in the 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations.
Two friendly matches have been scheduled to give the squad the best chance to fine-tune their game ahead of the tournament.Two strong opponents await the Elephants in this stage. The first friendly will be played on February 28 at the Félix Houphouët-Boigny Stadium in Abidjan against Benin, with kick-off at 19:00.
Four days later, they will play their second match at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium in Ebimpé, facing Kenya, also at 19:00.
It's worth noting that Côte d'Ivoire has been called up to participate in the 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations, which will be held in Morocco from March 17 to April 3, 2026. The Elephants will compete in Group B alongside South Africa, Burkina Faso, and Tanzania.
