Real Madrid defender Raúl Asencio has been getting treatment on the small fracture on his tibia for the last 13 days and is now ready to make his return to the starting lineup, according to a report published on MARCA.

Asencio had been playing through pain for quite a while, risking a more serious injury as Real Madrid desperately needed healthy defenders with injuries to David Alaba, Antonio Rudiger and Eder Militao, but as soon as Rudiger was able to play, he decided to get some treatment to properly repair that fracture.
Asencio is feeling way better now, per that same report. He’s now ready to compete for a starting spot with both Rudiger and Huijsen and believes that he could actually earn a spot in Spain’s list for the upcoming FIFA World Cup if he can establish himself in Madrid’s starting lineup.
