Aggies come back to defeat Ole Miss 80-77
· Yahoo Sports
Texas A&M entered Wednesday night on a four-game losing streak, and in danger of moving firmly back into NCAA Tournament bubble territory if that streak continued. And for much of the game, it very much looked like that might happen. The Aggies got down double digits early in the second half, looking like a fatigued team. They’d remain down double digits with less than 7:00 to play, before ending the game on an impressive 19-6 run to take down Ole Miss 80-77 at Reed Arena.

It was a rare game in which the Aggies were out shot from the field, from 3 and from the line, and even lost the turnover battle, and still found a way to win. Thanks in no small part to Rashaun Agee’s 17 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists (all team highs). A&M also saw Zach Clemence and Reuben Dominguez score 15 of the team’s final 19 points, of particular importance because it could indicate that Dominguez is coming out of his weeks-long shooting slump. He made his final two three-point attempts, and got fouled on a third, sinking all three free throws. If he can regain his shooting form, that makes A&M a much more dangerous offensive team.
The Aggies improve to 8-5 in SEC play, and will now travel to Norman to take on Oklahoma at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. That game will air on SEC Network.
