Clemson baseball lands in another preseason Too 25 ranking
· Yahoo Sports
Clemson is hovering right where most people expected heading into the new season.
The Tigers showed up at No. 17 in the latest NCBWA preseason poll, putting them solidly in the mix but not in the spotlight. LSU grabbed the top spot, with UCLA, Texas, Georgia Tech, and Arkansas filling out the rest of the top five.

The ACC made a strong showing overall, landing nine teams in the Top 25. Clemson is part of a crowded group that includes Georgia Tech, Louisville, North Carolina, Florida State, NC State, Miami, Virginia, and Wake Forest, which says a lot about how tough the league figures to be again this year.
Last season’s results are doing plenty of the talking. Clemson went 45–18 in 2025, hosted an NCAA Regional for the third straight year, and brings back a roster that isn’t short on experience. Aidan Knaak anchors the pitching staff after back-to-back first-team All-ACC seasons, giving the Tigers a proven arm to lean on right out of the gate.

Preseason opinions are lining up across the board, too. Clemson has consistently landed just outside the Top 15 in most major polls, suggesting there’s respect nationally, even if expectations are a little more measured than in past years.
That all turns into reality quickly. The Tigers open the 2026 season at home Friday with a three-game series against Army, their first chance to show whether this group can push beyond “solid” and turn into something more as the spring unfolds.
