Browns to interview Rams assistant Aubrey Pleasant for DC job
· Yahoo Sports
The Cleveland Browns are on the hunt to replace Jim Schwartz after he submitted his letter of resignation to the team last week.
A fast list of names has filtered in this week, including two internal candidates. However, a new external candidate to come through is the Los Angeles Rams' defensive passing game coordinator and defensive backs coach, Aubrey Pleasant. This name joins the list of an Atlanta Falcons assistant, a Carolina Panthers assistant, and a New York Giants assistant.

Pleasant spent time with the Browns back in 2013 as an offensive assistant. That was his first year in the NFL. He has since bounced around the NFL, but has been with the Rams on his second stint since 2023. He has had passing game coordinator experience since 2021 with the Detroit Lions, and retains the same role in Los Angeles. Pleasant has never filled the role of defensive coordinator, however.
We'll see what direction the Browns take in their search for a new defensive coordinator, but they are leaving no stone unturned.
