Former North Carolina Tar Heels' guard R.J. Davis is having a really good year in the NBA's G-League, in hopes of landing in the NBA eventually. It was last week where Davis recorded an impressive triple double, by far his best game of the year.
And now, he's earned some honors.

Davis was named the G League Player of the Week after averaging 32.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 8.0 assists per game last week. He also had a career-high 45 points in a game. We saw at North Carolina what Davis can do when he gets hot and now he's showcasing that in the G League.

After five seasons at North Carolina, Davis went undrafted in the 2025 NBA Draft. However, he did play for the Los Angeles Lakers in the Summer League. He eventually landed with the Lakers' G League affiliate where he's hoping to impress in the organization.
