Grizzlies not treating Morant like Antetokounmpo, Harden

As Memphis searches for a landing spot for its once heralded star, reports have come out that the team is not giving Morant the treatment similar to Giannis Antetokounmpo and James Harden, who communicated with the front office in trade talks. Rather, "the Grizzlies are seeking the best deal strictly for the organization."

Kings strongly connected to Morant

According to O'Connor, Sacramento is the team "most strongly connected" to Morant, viewing the guard as someone who could return to star status with a chance of scenery. The Heat are also among the teams involved, but Sacramento has emerged as one of the most viable destinations.

Bulls looking to trade Mike Conley

After acquiring Conley on Tuesday, Chicago is exploring options to move the veteran guard. ESPN's Bobby Marks said that "if Conley’s $10.7 million contract is traded and then waived, he could re-sign with the Timberwolves," who he was just traded from.

Nehm, who covers the Bucks for the Athletic, chatted with Antetokounmpo over the phone on Tuesday night in an exclusive story that launched Wednesday morning. The two-time MVP stated that he does not want to leave Milwaukee, saying “On what planet, on what Earth, would somebody want to leave this?”

“Brother, if you ask me deep down what I want today, I want to be a Milwaukee Buck for the rest of my career,” Antetokounmpo said in the story. “I want to win here, another championship. And if you can tell me that’s possible, let’s just hang up the phone.

But, Antetokounmpo also said that he wants to be in a place where he can win. If he was convinced the Bucks could compete next season, he would commit; but as Nehm stated, it would require quite a turnaround.

Lastly, Antetokounpo said he wants to compete, stating that there are fewer chances in front of him to win his second NBA championship.

“I just want to go back to that as soon as I can, because I feel like we’re running out of chances, running out of time. Like, how long would your prime be? If I’m lucky, let’s say 36, 37. If I take the LeBron James route, maybe 41, but let’s be realistic here. … Father Time is undefeated.”

Grizzlies drop asking price for Ja Morant

According to Stein and Fischer, "multiple rival teams have said this week that the Grizzlies' asking price for Morant has dropped dramatically, with Memphis officials apparently eager now to just move on from its longtime Face of the Franchise." Reports say that the team is ready to go for a full-on rebuild with Zach Edey and Cedric Coward as the center.

Momentum shifting towards Bucks keeping Giannis Antetokounmpo

Wednesday morning on ESPN's "Get Up!," Windhorst said that he's not seeing a lot of momentum towards the Bucks trading Antetokounmpo at the trade deadline. He said that both the Heat and Timberwolves are finding ways to improve their offers, while the Knicks are not real contenders at the moment.

"The best standing offer that I’m aware of belongs to the Golden State Warriors, but I’m not seeing a lot of momentum towards Milwaukee making a Giannis move," Windhorst said. "It is only Wednesday, we have enough day and a half, but I think Milwaukee is seriously considering staying put."

Jackson reported that the Miami Heat are expected to offer an extensive trade package for Antetokounmpo. The offer is anticipated to be Tyler Herro, Kel'el Ware, Terry Rozier, young players, 2 1st-round picks and 3 pick swaps, per Jackson. If the Bucks do happen to acquire Rozier, they will have to pay his entire 25-26 salary.

Knicks not heavily pursuing Giannis Antetokounmpo

A day after The Athletic reported that the Knicks are inquiring about Antetokounmpo, ESPN's Brian Windhorst said on "Get Up" Monday morning that, "The Knicks believe in this team.. They believed in this team last summer when Giannis was loosely available in those discussions. They didn't make an aggressive offer at the time of those talks. If they want to win a bidding war now, i think its going to take a 3 or 4 team trade.... That is just not happening. They are not showing that aggression to get Giannis right now and I think thats because they like this team."

Trail Blazers have reported interest in Giannis Antetokounmpo   

While other teams have been mentioned far more often, the Trail Blazers are among the franchises interested in Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo, The Oregonian reports. The report adds that new owner Tom Dundon is ready and willing to take big swings to win, which makes Portland a wild card in the Antetokounmpo sweepstakes even if a deal might cost All-Star Deni Avdija.

The Jazz land a star big man in his prime to build around alongside Lauri Markkanen and Keyonte George, while the Grizzlies become sellers, potentially becoming more likely to trade Ja Morant.
